As a retired Marine pilot, I have flown a variety of fighter aircraft and have deployed to Asia, the Middle East, and Afghanistan. I’ve commanded an FA-18 Squadron and Marine Aircraft Group, and served a tour at Special Operations Command and HQMC Aviation at the Pentagon. Throughout my 28 years in the Corps, I’ve experienced the inherent dangers of flight and, sadly, lost many friends and colleagues in aviation crashes. These experiences give me an in-depth knowledge of aviation mishaps and set the foundation for unique plots that employ an aircraft as the murder weapon.
